Car Insurance Honda (Car Insurance). What's wrong with my car?!!!?What's wrong with my car?!!!? I have brought my ca to several mechanics and no one can figure out what's wrong! It shakes at about 60mph. All the basics have been fixed and/or replaced: ball joints wheel balance struts bearings stabilizer bars tires It is poor wheel balance. Take it to a tyre dealer and they can check the balance more accurately as they have better equipment than the average repair garage. what car..what miles? help me to help you 1 rebalance and inspect wheels,,, i have no idea, maybe the engine mounts, the engine shaking too much causing the car to shake- nah thats definitely not it, maybe there is something wrong with the chasis? maybe power steering, maybe your imagination? have the shocks been done, could be a loose linkage in the suspension that was missed? i really dont know though sorry. hope u figure it out Take the car to a frame and alignment shop and have them check it out as they are better equipt to diagnose wheel and suspension problems. Honda . How to Change the Starter on an S-10 BlazerWhen the starter starts to fail in your Chevrolet S-10 Blazer, you will hear a rapid clicking noise when you turn the key to the start position. The good news, however, is that replacing it is not difficult. The hardest part of the procedure is crawling under the truck to access the component. Be sure to purchase a replacement starter that is new or remanufactured. A rebuilt starter will not last as long. Difficulty:Moderately Easy Instructions Things You'll Need Automobile jack Jack stand Wheel chocks Marker Masking tape Metric socket set Metric wrench set Step by Step : 1 Park the truck on a level surface. Place the wheel chocks behind the rear tires of the truck. 2 Open the engine compartment and disconnect the negative battery terminal. Use a wrench to loosen the nut. 3 Raise the Blazer up on the driver's side using the automobile jack. Place a jack stand under the truck near the jacking point and raise the jack stand up to the frame. 4 Mark the wires to the starter and solenoid using the masking tape and a marker to note proper placement. Disconnect the wires by removing the nuts with a wrench. There is also a wiring harness that needs to be unplugged. 5 Remove the mounting bolts on the starter using a socket and ratchet. Support the starter with one hand when you remove the last bolt to prevent it from simply falling out of the engine. 6 Place the new starter on the engine and tighten the bolts with the socket and ratchet. Reconnect the wires according to the label you made for them upon disconnection. Tighten the nuts with a wrench. Remove the jack stand from under the truck and lower the truck back to the ground. 7 Reconnect the battery terminal and start the vehicle to test the installation. Tips & Warnings You should wear safety glasses when working under your truck to prevent eye injuries from dirt or other foreign objects. Never attempt this procedure without first disconnecting the battery as instructed. Failure to do so is dangerous and could lead to electrical shock.
Honda . How to Change a Volkswagen Jetta StarterThe purpose of the starter, according to Samarins, is "to turn over the engine to start it." Occasionally, the starter motor will not turn over and the engine will not start. When this happens to your Volkswagen Jetta, you can fix it yourself. With the right know-how, you'll be able to change the starter in an afternoon. Difficulty:Moderate Instructions Things You'll Need Socket wrench Screwdriver Torque wrench Step by Step : 1 Disconnect the battery. Use a socket wrench to loosen the retainer bolt on the negative battery cable clamp and pull the clamp off the post. 2 Use a screwdriver to unscrew the front engine mount that secures the starter to the engine. 3 Disconnect the wiring connector that connects the starter to the solenoid. Take off the cable guide. Disconnect the solenoid's power supply. 4 Remove the bolt that secures the PAS hose guide from the mounts of the starter motor with a socket wrench. 5 Remove the bolt located at the starter's upper mount, and remove the nut located beneath the starter. 6 Slip the starter and solenoid from the bellhousing aperture. 7 Repeat steps 1-6 in reverse when installing a new starter motor. Make sure you use a torque wrench when tightening the starter mounting bolts.
